If you are looking for an experience that pushes your limits and leads you to one of the most remote and spectacular places on the planet, the Quelccaya Glacier Tour is made for you. Spanning over 44 square kilometers, Quelccaya is not just a snow-capped mountain: it is the largest tropical glacier in the world and a true open book on Earth’s climatic history. Located in the Vilcanota Mountain Range, this ice giant offers a landscape of raw and striking beauty, reserved for a privileged few.

Trekking toward the Quelccaya Glacier means witnessing both the majesty and the fragility of our ecosystem. As you approach its impressive ice walls towering over 50 meters high the electric blue of its crevasses and the turquoise glacial lagoons transport you into an almost surreal setting. More than just a trek, this is a true expedition into the silence of the high mountains, where the air is pure and the connection with nature is absolute.

This full-day tour from Cusco is a top-tier adventure, ideal for travelers wishing to step off the conventional paths and immerse themselves in an environment where snowy peaks and vast Andean pampas are their only companions. Reaching the base of this white giant at 5,200 meters (17,060 ft) is a feat rewarded by unforgettable panoramas and the satisfaction of having stood upon one of the last ice sanctuaries of the tropics.
